What does economics mean to me?
What does economics mean to me?
At the time of our birth, we drop into a bundle of possibilities full of uncertainty. We fail in understanding how and why it was our time to live.
As we grow old, we start to dream with distant realities. We dream about becoming heroes and even rock stars. We design a stream of infinite opportunities with an infinite amount of time on our hands, regardless of its power and limitations.
Then, as soon as we realize time has a limit and death is an option, we start to make choices; we start to rationalize our behavior in order to fulfill our essential needs.
As we acquire further experience and the barriers of our knowledge expand, we are able to execute informed decisions that result in a course of action that transcends our spirits, and leaves us with a new opportunity to make a choice.
The choices we make every day constitute us as individuals. We chose to laugh, we chose to learn, we chose to teach, we chose to share, we chose to feel passion, we chose to waste time, we chose to feel wrong, we chose a movie, we chose to triumph and we chose to surrender.
Economics has taught me that every choice we make is fundamental in the development of our future being, that we must always take in consideration the impact we have in others, and that we must follow the example of those who preceded us, whose acts represents the legacy we must bring to our own. So that, when, those who will look upon us fall into their own set of possibilities, have a greater opportunity to make optimal choices.
But the fundamental thing I’ve learned is that the most important choices are those we do not have to make: When you dedicate your life to achieve your dream, when you let your vital spirit unleash…When you surrender to a love that you know will last forever.
Economics is my passion, and it brings me a reason to live for every day.

La mía es poder encontrar esa razón por la que vine a este mundo, esa causa que cuando la encuentre no me preguntaré todos los días ¿Para qué me levanto hoy?¨
